Le avventure nel barattolo (The Adventure Jar)
Some stories are difficult to tell, especially when you need to find the right words to help young children understand them.
This need inspired the Italian edition of The Adventure Jar, a project that transforms the experience of metastatic breast cancer into an accessible tale that enters family life with sensitivity and honesty. The book helps give shape to what often remains unspoken: the disease, the emotions and the changes affecting not only the person living with it, but also those around them.
Its presentation at the L’Eredità delle Donne festival – an event dedicated to women’s empowerment and the value of storytelling – amplified this message, creating a shared space for listening and dialogue.
Coverage in Italy’s leading media did the rest, transforming an intimate story into a voice capable of reaching many more people.
