The open sea, a course to follow, the choice not to let the disease determine the direction.

This project portrays immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) through the language of travel and sailing, transforming a rare and little-known condition into an experience of courage.

At the centre of the story are people living with ITP who choose to set sail, taking on Genoa’s Millevele regatta. Their voyage becomes a vivid metaphor for daily life with the disease: the uncertainty, the fear and the need to find balance, alongside the desire to keep moving forward.
