Running, jumping, putting yourself to the test. Simple actions that, for some, have long been difficult even to imagine.
The project takes the form of a travelling introduction to athletics for young people with haemophilia aged 12 and over. It grew out of the opportunity to redefine the relationship between haemophilia and physical activity, turning what had long been perceived as a limitation into a space for discovery, confidence and awareness.
The initiative brings sport and inclusion together through educational camps led by qualified instructors and accompanied by an exceptional ambassador, Fiona May.
It is not only about training, but about finding a new way to inhabit one’s body: listening to it, supporting it and discovering what it can do safely.
Alongside sporting activities, the project also creates a space for discussion and information, bringing together clinical expertise, personal experience and shared perspectives.
