#rarediseases
Fatigue that never goes away, bruises that appear without warning, the feeling that something has changed the rhythm of things.
ITP on Stage grew out of listening directly to patients and caregivers, in a shared journey between Milan and Naples. Their experiences became living material: emotions, difficulties and fears, but also the strength needed to keep going.
This work gave rise to Battiti (Heartbeats, and also the Italian imperative Fight!), a monologue written by Filippo Losito and performed by Davide Calabrese. On stage, the condition enters into dialogue with the individual, their day-to-day experience and their need to find a new balance without ceasing to search for possibilities.
The project thus transforms the experience of immune thrombocytopenia into a shared story, bringing to light what often remains hidden. Battiti holds its deepest meaning: the daily fight and the rhythm of a life that, despite everything, goes on.
